Car Electronic Services is a modern electronics workshop specialising in the rapid and low cost repair and remanufacturing of electronic control units (ECUs) on a customer's own unit basis - you always get your own ECU back - not another ECU you do not know the history of.
We have no facilities to repair motor vehicles and cannot assist with diagnosis of vehicle problems other than publishing common ECU fault symptoms on this website. WHY ECU repair is SAFER than exchange.
ECUs for repair and reconditioning should be posted first class airmail letter post (Royal Mail Special Delivery is recommended within the UK) to the above postal address, BUT ONLY AFTER contacting Car Electronic Services AND a quotation has been given. NEVER USE THE PARCELFORCE SERVICE OFFERED BY UK POST OFFICES - it is NOT a timed service!
First class letter post/airmail is surprisingly fast, cheap and effective - ECUs travel well inside a Jiffy padded bag. Please do not use couriers - they are expensive, slow and can cause delays with customs.
If sending ECU from outside the EU you MUST declare for customs on the outside of the package "ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT TEMPORARILY RETURNED TO UK FOR REPAIR - NO COMMERCIAL VALUE".
DO NOT SHOW ANY MONETARY VALUE - including postage insurance - on the OUTSIDE of any package.
